YT-1300, "The Spear of Alderaan"
This is one of two YT-1300's that I own, and easily my favourite: The Spear of Alderaan.
No conversion work here, but a repaint of the ship. I recently put more effort in to this one for a painting competition (first image), where the detail is alot clearer when I use the flash! The main paneling is Astronomican Grey (Citadel) with some panels picked out in Codex Grey and Tallarn Flesh. These panels are then washed in Nuln Oil (also Citadel) and bits are drybrushed and washed brown. Tamiya blue was used for the pilots personal 'stamp' on the ship, which was washed and re-drybrushed to give a worn look. Finally, the exposed panels and engines were drybrushed in black.
