The Road to CICE
Fistbump style.
Cardiff International Comic Expo is holding a sweet one-day convention on the 4th November. Aside from the fact it's essentially my best mate's birthday, it's a good excuse to meet people, buy comics, and fistbump (not necessarily in that order!). This page will track my progress to going to CICE, and hopefully some images when its all over! :)

Getting the stuff ready! - Tacvest - Shemagh - Utils - Mask - Generic grey longsleeve of +1 genericness - Shoulderpads - Kneepads (1, because i'm Salem) - Gloves - Pew pews - Comm system - Source material - My foot sneaking in to the bottom of the shot Still need! - Midnight urban camos - Leg Holster - Three-point sling - Obscene amount of sleeve tatoos. Still a bit of work to do on the vest. I've put three M4-STANAG pouches on the front as that is what Salem tends to run. I do still have to sort out some shouldermabob link and I'll need to paint the TWO logo on to the front of the vest (And one of the shoulders!) at some point.
Generic facebook shot?
NO. This one has COOL THINGS IN IT. UPDATE 20/09/2012 First (three) coats down of white. Needs more coverage and a bit of black edging to it to make it appear sharper. May also put a quadrant design around the '2' on the shoulder. Many thanks to the creators of Army of Two: Across the Border for all the source material! ;D just noticed that the vest is a little crinkled here...I SWEAR that letter 'T' is straight -_- UPDATE 21/09/2012 Been painting the mask! It took me a while to like it, but it's getting there now. I drybrushed the mask in a power grey, and built up the stripe from light grey -> white. For the weathering, I painted the end of a subway cookie wrapper with metalic paint and scraped it over high-raised areas (such as the brow ridge) Pictures are a bit naff because its dark, I may take some more tomorrow :) Below is also an image of the vest and shoulderpad again, after some gentle weathering. |
